Yagua Indians living a traditional life near the Amazonian city of Iquitos, Peru. Yagua, Yahuna, Ñihamwo, Yihamwo, Nihamwo or Mishara are an indigenous people who live in the province of Mariscal Ramón Castilla and the province of Putumayo, both in the department of Loreto, Peru and in the reservations of Santa Sofía and El Progreso, in the Colombian department of Amazonas. There are more than 11,000 people, whose language belongs to the Peba Yagua language family.
