Abingdon, England - 12 November 2020; one person in view by the river. Abingdon claims to be the oldest town in England. This is its famous medieval stone bridge, seen on a fine summer morning. The Bridge was begun in 1416 and completed in 1422, using local limestone. It was funded by Abingdon's religious guild, the Fraternity of the Holy Cross. Here we see the bridge on a fine Autumn morning, with a lone woman walking under its main arch.
