A percussion revolver in its case, Daniel Leonard in Birmingham, circa 1860 No. 272. Octagonal barrel with rifled bore in mm calibre, signed on barrel top. Six-shot cylinder with acceptance marks, somewhat pitted in nipple area. Frame and trigger guard with fine floral engraving. One-piece grip finely chequered. Somewhat rubbed finish, lightly spotted in places. Length 29 cm. Comes in case (later) inlaid with green velvet containing various accessories, among others cleaning rod, combination tool and powder flask.
