Reporting to the Director General were a numberof committees, and the Director Generals representa-tives on joint committees. The Inland WaterwaysCommittee reported on inland waterways that couldbe profitably improved and operated by the RailroadAdministration. In addition to the committeesnamed on the chart, the Director General had report-ing to him his representatives on the Joint Fuel Com-mittee which devised and operated the zone system ofdistributing bituminous coal.
