Frederick William Partridge, formerly Consul at Bangkok,Siam, is a son of Cyrus and Mary ( Loveland ) Partridge, and wasborn at Norwich, Vermont, August 19, 1S24. His father, whowas horn in the same town, was a Captain under General Scott atthe battle of Lundys Lane, and died at Norwich. Frederick was educated at the military school in his nativetown and at Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire, leav-ing the latter institution at the close of the Freshman year on ac-eonnt of the death of his father.
