They all represent the latest and best efforts of the well known hybridizer, Wilhelm Ptitzer, and are improvements over existing varieties. Several are valuable additions to the dark-leaved sec- tion, which at present is very incomplete: Dr. Cavet.—Dark green foliage with red stem and edge. Large, orange-scarlet flowers, well set above the foliage. Very free flowering. Height, 8 ft. GOc ea.; $ per doz. Elisabeth Hoss.—Very heavy stems, well clothed with light green foliage. Enormous trusses of spotted blooms on the style of Florence Vaughan, but much larger and richer in color. Free flowering and does not sunburn. Height, 4 ft.
