The hydrothecae are almost wholly immersed, and the free membranaceous extensionof the wall, too prominently figured in account, has been destroyed (as indeed itwas in the T. /»rfni«/<i specimen examined), leaving a jagged edge level with tin- generaloutline of the pinna.
