Compressed air car. Man breathing the exhaust emissions from the Air Car, demonstrating that it is non-polluting. This car is powered entirely by compressed air. Tanks within the vehicle store up to 90 cubic metres of compressed air. The expansion of this air pushes the pistons in the engine, creating movement. A fully charged tank gives a driving range of approximately 150 kilometres (93 miles) and has a top speed of 110 kilometres per hour (68 miles per hour). It can be filled with air from a high pressure air station in 2 minutes, or via a mains connection for 4 hours. The Air Car is due for production at the end of 2005.
