Alfred Cort Haddon (1855-1940), British zoologist and anthropologist. Haddon published a number of papers on marine biology, including reports on Polyplacophora (chitons) for the HMS Challenger expedition of 1872-1876. He was also a leading anthropologist, who established many of the basic field techniques of modern anthropology. Photographed in 1895.
