W. Johns-Manville Company, of NewYork, has led to the production by the company of atype of this instrument in a portable form suitable fortesting. This meter consists of two separate and complete instru-ments in a single case,the one giving readingsin volts and the otherin amperes. The thirdand fourth readings areobtained on a scaleplotted at the center ofthe dial, giving theproduct, or power con-sumption, in watts orkilowatts and horse-power. These readingsare taken at the pointsof intersection of thetwo indicators. The power scale is calibrated in watts or kilowatts on oneside and horse-power on the other.
