In the catalogue of the sale, theSeton necklace was stated to have been brought into the Eglintonfamily, along with a picture by Holbein, on a marriage of aMontgomerie with the heir of the Setons about the year point of fact, the union in question was between Sir AlexanderSeton (Greysteel) and the heiress of Eglinton.
