The Great Bell or Tsar Bell, commissioned by Empress Anna Ivanovna, niece of Peter the Great on display on the grounds of the Moscow Kremlin. The Kremlin is a fortified complex at the heart of Moscow, along with Saint Basil's Cathedral. Following the French invasion of Russia in 1812, the French forces occupied the Kremlin from 2 September to 11 October.
