One of their number, named Gudrun,admired him so much, that she came to him, andoffered to be his wife. They were married at once. After the battle, only one of the Hunding familyremained alive; and he was allowed to go free, afterhe had promised not to avenge the death of hisfather; but he borrowed Odins spear, and killedHelgi.
