Aviemore railway station, Scotland, UK. The station was opened in 3 August 1863 following a design by the architect William Roberts. It was closed after the Beeching cuts in October 1965 but was refurbished and reopened in 1998, The main platform is 800 metre long and can accommodate 14 carriages. It is now maintained by Network Rail and Scotrail.
