The above named and oft-enlisted Thomas Thomas, marriedMary Grimes, in New Jersey or after returning to Virginia, it is notknown where or when. Their daughter, Margaret Thomas, an onlychild, married Edward Morton. Margaret was born in Westmore-land Co., Pa., in 1794 and died in 1S29. Margaret and Edward Mor-ton came into Ohio in 1S21. Previous to that time they had livedinVirginia. Soon after their marriage Edward was drafted for service inthe war of 1S12 but hired a substitute. He was born Jan. 15, 1790,and died Oct. 10, 1S34. Both he and his wife, Margaret, are buried atFletcher Church, iu Guernsey Co. Ohio. Edward Morton was the son of Moses Morton who came to theUnited States at the age of 7 years and died iu 1821, aged 62 wife Mary Dowler, died in 1826 and both are buried at Bellville,Pa
