San Pedro, a seacoast town devoted to the fishingand shipping industries, is the official harbor for the city, although vessels also land at Santa Monica andRedondo Beach. Santa Monica is a pleasant little townby the sea, with an excellent hotel and every facility forsurf bathing, boating and fishing. The shore line makesa graceful sweep at this point, with a sandy beachbacked by cliffs of sandstone sculptured by the rain andsurmounted by groves of trees. F
