The Trangrav Bridge (Trangravsbroen), an extension to the Inner Harbour Bridge across the main harbour canal to Nyhavn, is a Butterfly 3-Way Bridge across Christianshavn Canal and Trangraven. The bridge connects Grønlandske Handels Plads, Islands Plads, and Arsenaløen. Trangravsbroen, Inderhavnsbroen (Inner Harbour Bridge) and Proviantbroen are pedestrian and cyclist bridges and part of the main bicycle route Christianshavnruten (the Christianshavn Route). The names of the bridges derive from historic names of canals and squares named after their uses. Trangravsbroen ("Train Trench Bridge") is at Grønlandske Handels Plads (the square at the Greenland Trade Department) in Copenhagen Harbour. Probably from the historic handling of Greenlandic train (whale oil, etc.).
