ARABIAN GULF (March 22, 2017) Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Ian Krissie, right, fires an M9 service pistol aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67) during a small-arms qualification course. Cole is deployed in the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and to preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
