Navy Airman Tommy Allen transports several tie-down chains across the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) as the ship operates in the Persian Gulf on Jan. 3, 2008. The tie-down chains are used to secure aircraft to the deck of the ship to prevent them from moving. Truman and embarked Carrier Air Wing 3 are under way in the Persian Gulf in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and maritime security operations.
