Later he moved to a rentedfaim in Pike Township, and from thereto another, in Harmony Township. InFebruary, 1903, he purchased the Coffinfarm, a valuable property in GermanTownship, containing 200 acres, and im-mediately moved on to the place. In thefall of 1905 he acquired also the Brunerfarm, consisting of eight acres, adjoin-ing his former purchase, and has eversince been engaged extensively in farm-ing and stock-raising. He is a man of prac-tical ideas who understands how to makegeneral agricultural both pleasant andprofitable. In Madison County, Ohio, Mr. Fosterwas married to Anna Hyer, who was bornin Ross County, Ohio, where she liveduntil she was fifteen years of age, whenshe accompanied her parents, Samuel andCatherine Hyer, to Madison County. In1877 they moved to Springfield and em-barked in a dairy business. Mr. and have five children, namely: Bertie,who married George Jordan and has onechild, Ralph; Jennie, who married JamesWallingsford and has one child, AnnaRuth; and Sterling, Charles and Nellie,all of whom live at home. Mr. Foster isa member of the Junior Order of Am
