Made in Bucyrus, Ohio, 1923, this Bucyrus 50-B, was among the largest steam shovels in the world. It was employed building bridges, roads and drains at the Panama Canal. It also removed dirt and rocks from the canal bed. It was later shipped to California and, from there to Colorado, where it was used between 1950 and 1978.
