Grunge Collides
The camera is a natural tool for looking. With the advent of camera phones, now you can snap a photo whenever inspiration strikes. This is great for capturing textures and ideas, but the richer results for me always seem to come from a “traditional” digital camera (not a phone). One of the advantages of working with a traditional camera instead of a cell phone is the amount of intention and attention: you're committed to carrying an extra piece of equipment, plus the technology isn’t as smart so you have to think. Many of the images you see here were shot “on expedition” (with intention to find frames).
