A good Hay crop can be had the first season, followed afterwards by an immense amount of succulent pasturage; two crops a year can be had from it, often running over 5 tons cured Hay per acre. "When fully grown the plant stands from 4 to 5 feet in height and stools out freely; it is ready to cut the latter part of June. Sow broadcast at the rate of 20 lbs. per acre (14 lbs. per bushel.) Per lb. 40c (by mail 50c); 10 lbs. $; 100 lbs. $ Sudan Grass—Introduced in 1909 from Sudan by the U. S. Dept. of Agricul- ture. Where it can be sown early enough it will yield two immense. crops of Hay during a season, requir- ing less than two months to come to the proper cutting stage—just before heading out. Great for dry sections, but will thrive anywhere and on any soil. For seed sow about 4 lbs. per acre in rows 3 feet apart. When broadcasted or drilled in for hay or fodder 16 to 24 lbs. per acre are re- quired.
