A Messerschmitt Bf 109 - one of the exhibits in the Deutsches Technikmuseum - German Museum of Technology.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was designed by Willy Messerschmitt in the early 1930s. It was one of the first true modern fighters of the era, including such features as an all-metal monocoque construction, a closed canopy, and retractable landing gear. The museum's main emphasis is on rail transport but also features exhibits of various sorts of industrial technology. Recently, it has opened both maritime and aviation exhibition halls.
