Market STreet, Morecambe, Lancashire 28th August 2016, Burglars have stolen the safe from the newly opened Burger King in Morecambe shortly after it closed on its opening day which CPL Food Group the Franchise operator said was its busiest day. The breakin took place at 1:15 am this morning and the safe had contained £8,500. The safe was later found empty at at Sunderland Point. The alarm had not been switched on as staff where due to return within a couple of hours and had only been away for there quarters of an hour when the raid took place
