Cotacotani Lakes. Aerial view across the Lagunas de Cotacotani (Cotacotani Lakes), towards the Pomerape and Parinacota Volcanoes, Chile. Located at an altitude of 4,495 metres in the Andes, the Cotacotani Lakes are among the highest lakes on Earth. They are fed by meltwater that flows down the glaciers of the Parinacota Volcano (6,348 m).
