Members of the New York Army National Guard’s 3rd Battalion, 142nd Aviation Regiment assist in fighting a forest fire in Shawangunk Ridge State Forest near Summitville in Ulster County May 5. The two UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and crewmembers are based at the Army Aviation Support Facility at Albany International Airport in Latham. The crews used water buckets, known by the trademarked name of Bambi Buckets, to scoop up water from nearby lakes or rivers and dump the water on wildfires. Army National Guard photo by Col.
