Upon section, the gastric mass is composed of dense connectivetissue in which are seen many small pearly white nests. The adjacent lymphnodes are enlarged and upon section resemble closely the structure of themass in the stomach. In the retroperitoneal space, is a mass similar to the one in the mediastinumwhich measures 4x4x5 cm.
