Hemarried a woman who, he said, was not a person ofthe best character; however, they lived togethersome years, and had several children, none of whomarrived to maturity. At length, they had so manydisputes and quarrels with each other, that neitherof them enjoyed a moments peace, so that theymutually agreed to part; and, accordingly, madea formal separation. After a few years he marriedanother wife, who visited him occasionally whileunder sentence, and brought with her their littledaughter of two years and a half old.
