Sgt. Carlson, the photographer, captured an image on November 14, 1918, at the 1st Army Salvage Dump at Souilly, Meuse, France, during World War I. In the photo, soldiers, including 2d Lt. John T. Rabbitt and 2d Lt. P. J. Roney of the Quartermaster Corps, are sorting and classifying ordnance materials. This image was released by the AEP Censor, although the specific date of release is unknown.
