The GoldenTankard is an ex< eedingly popularvariety in Great Britain, where it isconsidered particularly valuable on ac-count of its nutritious and milk producing qualities. Sheep have a preference forthis sort over other Mangels ; it is said that they will pick out every piece of GoldenTankard before touching others. It yields under the best cultivation 50 tons peracre.
