In his left hand he holds a musket andan olive branch, whilst his right grasps a bell-rope. Aboveis the cracked Liberty bell; issuing therefrom is a ribbonbearing the motto of the Society, Exegi monumentum cBreperennhis. Across the top of the ladder, on a ribbon, is thedate 1776; and, on the left of the Minute-man and alsoon a ribbon, the date 18S3. The whole being encircledby a band three-eighths of an inch wide; thereon, at the top,thirteen stars of five points each ; at the bottom, the titleNorth Carolina Society of the Sons of the Revo-lution. The following being a fac simile thereof:. By-Laws. 25 The Secretary shall be the custodian of the Seal, whichshall be identical in every particular with the above de-scription. The Insignia of the Society shall be identical, in everyparticular, with that described in the General Constitution,the following being simile thereof:
