A number of well grown ferns and foliage plants disposed among the oak roots and a front well broken with smaller foliage and flowering plants completed the best individual display ever attempted on the Coast. THE FALL .snow. "The best ever" is the popular ver- dict of the fall show given by the Pa- cific Coast Horticultural Society in the spacious Norman hall of the Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco. Calif., October 23-2U. The shows held by this society have become an autumn feature of the city's life and a function upon which society has set its seal of approval. John McLaren, the land- scape engineer, congratulated the so- ciety on the general excellence of the exhibition. Mrs. Jas.
