Capt. Alex Purdy, Charger Company Commander from 1st Battalion 5th Infantry Regiment, briefs his platoon leaders during Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise Courage Ready 18-02 at Joint Base Lewis MChord, Aug. 2. The Bobcats deployed from Fort Wainwright, Alaska, to join the 4th Battalion, 23d Infantry Tomahawks for iteration two of America's First Corps Courage Ready series. This EDRE provides an opportunity for all units involved to exercise critical skills both in planning and execution of the mission.
