Dunster Castle dominates the local scenery and georaphy. Historically, it has been there since Early Norman times, owned by the de Mohun family before being taken over by the Luttrells. Then in the 1950s it was given to the National Trust. It is one of their best visited shot is taken from the North East, across what was the Polo fields. The medieval villages nestles around the base of the Castle hill. The village rests on the edge of The Exmoor National Park
