Spiny Ripper Wyrm (Hell Dragon)
This type of wyrm is taken classic depictions of hell monsters in ancient art and reports. It is the sort that tunnels through people and wraps around them. It is smaller than a man (though appearing large in this image). You can find it's likeness in an ancient painting by Jan Van Eyck, The Crucifixion; The Last Judgment, ca. 1440–41. This is most technically a demon, though one would recognize it as a type of dragon or sea serpent.
