The Texas Military Forces Museum Color Guard posted the colors as the Texas Historical Commission, Texas Military Forces Museum, the 36th Infantry Division and Texas State Legislators took part in a World War 1 Centennial Ceremony on the steps of the Texas Capitol on April 6, in Austin, Texas. The ceremony commemorated the 100-year anniversary of participation in "The Great War." The 36th Inf. Div. participated in the largest offensive operation in military history at Meuse-Argonne, which, in victory, brought an end to the war.
