The Wallys Camp Cult group who camped near Stonehenge and visited the Stones by night in the 1980s
Many of the people visiting and camping fairly rough on the track a few hundred yards west of Stonehenge were backpackers who just heard about the set-up by word of mouth. There was a kind of non-possession aspect to the gathering which could just about be called a cult. As I understood it, there was a bloke called Wally ( I had better not make a stab at his surname) who died from drug abuse in West London not long after I made my brief visit. The ancient monument can be seen in the distance on the right of the photograph.
