Proudly watching are his daughters, Constance Ruddy (front) and Helen Kate, and his wife, the former Mary Rose Ruddy. Commander Curry is a native of Viola, Mo. He was educated in the schools of Aurora, Mo., and at Springfield Teachers College at Springfield, Mo., until his appointment to the U. S. Coast Guard Academy at New London, Conn. in 1927. Graduated as an ensign in 1931, he later studied law at George Washington University in Washington, Commander Curry's family lives at 1648 Preston Road, Alexandria, Va.
