The southwest corner of the gymnasiumis reserved for use by the Associated Stu-. OUTDOOR SWIMMING POOL. GYMNASIUM FOR OF CALIFORNIA George W. Kelham. Architect building, is of customary depth, rangingfrom four to nine feet, while the other,placed as the cross bar of a T, has a depthof seven to thirteen feet, and will be usedfor speed swimming, water polo and div-ing. The larger pool is divided into threeparts, actually making four pools in all,three of which will be used for classes, andthe other always open for recreationalswimming. Along the left side of the pools is a deckabout ten feet from the ground, but stillenclosed by the high wall which surrounds dents and will house varsity sports. Onthe first floor are a rubbing room, a lounge,and a porch which overlooks the swimmingpools. In the basement are the speciallocker and shower rooms for varsity northeast portion of the basement isoccupied by the departments of militaryand naval science and tactics.
