One young woman has found how amazingly colourful the UK countryside can be at this special time of the year and when the sun shone today (Sun) even better! Laura Dean (26) pictured enjoying each of three vibrant and vivid displays located, within a few miles of her home at Weymouth, Dorset. The 5acre carpet of, Sea Pinks (Thrift) are next to the 18mile long Chesil Beach, one of the largest such areas of the plants in the UK. A host of Bluebell woods are to be found in the area, this one is at Thorncombe Woods near to the birthplace of Dorset author, Thomas Hardy. The massive swathe of yellow of the flowering, Oil Seed Rape plants grow over much of the county this time of year this field is at Bincombe. Having this colourful countryside on her doorstep is one of the reasons that she loves being in the county at this unique time of year. This triple treat of colour can be seen for just a few weeks each year as the various plants conspire to flower in unison and put on a multi-coloured showcase that is hard to beat anywhere else in the world.
