Georgia Command Sergeant Major Phillip Stringfield, who deployed with many of those honored on the wall, assured the families that the memorial dedication represented the selflessness of their loved ones “who willingly gave their lives so that their families could thrive in freedom.” The Freedom Call Memorial Wall has been some two and a half years in the making. Conceptualized by former State Command Sgt. Major James Nelson the site will be a place of reflection and remembrance for the families and those who serve.
