In the countryside of Curralinho, firefighters patrol the Amazon forest destroyed by fires. Between September and November 2023, the Amazon experienced an unprecedented drought. Fires ravaged flora and fauna, and many communities were cut off from the rest of the world, ?world, as to navigate they rely on waterways that had dried up.
