Archaeological site in front of Frauenkirche, late medieval cellars excavated, Dresden

The church was destroyed in the bombing of Dresden in the Second World War and rebuilt after the end of the Cold War. It was reopened in 2005 and is a symbol of Dresden's rebirth after its destruction. The archaeological dig near the church uncovered late medieval cellars.
