The first of these minor intervals comprises the first four measures of the song, with two occurrences of the rhythmic unit. This is followed by two measures that may be considered connective, and the song closes with four measures on the second named interval with a different rhythm than that of the first phrase. The melody tones are those of the second 5-toned scale and the downward progressions comprise two-thirds of the entire number.
