An engraved Ottoman candlestick, circa 1500. Two-piece cast brass with a screwed in stem, surrounded by engravings of silver brocade separated by scrollwork. Stem set off by a baluster. The socket somewhat charred from the effects of flame, and a piece broken from the rim. The surfaces have been cleaned with acid. Height cm. Diameter cm.
