Hi, 1787, a committee was appointed to measureand find the center of Plainfield, and likewise to agreeupon a place which they shall think most proper for erect-ing a meeting-house upon. May 2S, 1701, Voted thatthe spot of ground west of the road leading from SamuelStreetcars to Robinsons corn-mill, and south of the roadleading from Samuel Streetors to his saw-mill, and joiningupon said roads, be the spot of ground to build a meeting-house upon; f)7 yeas and 4 nays.
