H., Jan. i, 1862, and he waseducated in the public schools of Hav-erhill, Mass. He came to Laconia in18S6, and in 189 1 started a bakery in asmall way onNorth Mainstreet. The fameof Shannonsbakery spreadand the bakeshop prosperedand outgrew itsoriginal quartersin a very shorttime. He thenremoved to Millstreet, where hecontinued verysuccessful 1 in-creasing his pro-duction and ca-pacity for goodsin his line, untilin 1897 he se-cured still moreconvenient quarters at 501 Main street,where his establishment is now located.
