Corporal Detrick Gordon reads the section chief's course manual while sitting on an M777 howitzer. Marines within Alpha Battery, 1st Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment are preparing for upcoming courses where they will recieve certifications as gunner for the 120 mm mortar or be able to run a gun section as a section chief. Gordon is a field artillery cannoneer with the battery.
