Aerial photograph of the Tiroler Achen, Delta, Chiemsee, Germany. In spring the delta of Tiroler Achen river looks like a colourful expressionist painting when seen from above. The meltwater, which the river washes from the Alps into the Chiemsee, a lake in Bavaria, is milky green in colour. The meltwater mixes with the water in the lake which is either clear and blue, dark green with algae, or swamp water brown.
